I think you will be lucky to get any IS because they will see that you have someone there to pay the rent/mortgage even if you sleep in different rooms.
He will obviously still pay his share wont he? And if he isnt going to pay, IS will want to know why not and will not want to pay you IS to have someone else living with you who isnt contributing.
I mean, its a bit much to expect really.0 -

he is paying his half of everything.Rent bills etc.
I cannot expect him to pay for me.
Would you want to pay your ex partners rent and bills?i doubt it.
He will pay all of his share and half our daughters.
Neither of us would ever not be honest. its not worth it.
I was told i had to claim is in order to get housing allowance (which is the shared rate so half the amount if i was living in a place on my own)
All this is only whilst im trying to get a job.
Not that i need to explain my entire life but lots of people are too judgemental and opinionated.
I asked for similar experiences.Dont post if its just what you think thats not helpful.:A
