what to do

i have 3 outstanding credit cards 1 with halifax which has 1800 on a 5.9% life rate, barclaycard with 1600 on 0% til march and 2000 on virgin at 0% til feb statement. i have a life balance transfer rate with halifax of 8.9% for life of balance being offered. im considering that or getting a tesco card and putting the balance from barclaycard and virgin to that as its 14mths 0%. not sure what id be best doing. im unlikely to pay off the 0% over 14 mnths.

ps does anyone know of any good insurance to cover the cards incase i lose my job?

many thanks guys and girls!

  • The answer to the question about where to transfer your balances probably comes down to whether you will move it again in 14 months.

If you will move it again, the 0% option is probably the best option. If not, the life of balance transfer is probably better.

The correct answer does depend on how much you expect to manage to pay off. Do you have any idea?

No idea on the insurance question.
