Unknown device has been installed?

Got up this morning to find a small green icon in the sys tray, when I clicked on it, it said unknown device has been installed and then the icon disappeared.
The pc was left on last night but no-one has used it since I went to bed. Any ideas?
The windows yellow update shield was there yesterday so could it be something to do with that?

Windows has updated and cant find drivers for a device already installed
