Here today, gone tomorrow.

Made a payment online to my Visa account on Friday 9th January at 11.30pm. which is acknowledged with a reference number. Then checked my online bank statement and payment has been taken showing amount and Debit Card authorisation.

Checked my bank statement on Sunday 11th and debit authorisation is gone and payment is back in my bank account with nothing printed to say why. Checked credit card account and last transaction pending is there reflected in the balance left to use. Checked again on Monday and pending charge is gone and added back on to balance for use. Card company say the payment is pending with them but i see it is still in my bank balance.

Tusday shows the card balance with both the pending charge and the payment amount in the balance left. Wednesday shows my bank statement with the payment having been debited on the 13th and now showing on my credit card balance on 14th today, the due date for payment, with the pending charge still in the balance left for use, looking like a cancelled transaction.:rotfl:

I phoned the internet banking and the card company and both passed the buck back to each other when i asked where the payment had gone, saying they did not know.

Question is where did it go and who had it, or did i have it, although i find that strange that neither the bank or the card company would be making anything if i did. The thought of a late payment charge was bothering me if the payment was still in my bank balance today..

Any bankers with an answer there?
