Mandelshon dismisses savers woes..

Options
C4 19:00 News
After Varley (Barclays Bank supremo) had said something should be done by HMG on tax breaks for savers, Mandelson cost his party some support IMHO....when asked to comment by saying dismissively '..we have already in play considerable incentives for savers...er.. they've already got Individual Savings Accounts... and other initiatives to promote savings'
What's that then: We get tax free interest at, say, BoE base on £3600 =
£10.. for the year from the tax coffers...
Are they sure they can afford it....?

I can't imagine any of these millionaires give a damn about those below them. All the care about is themselves and whoever they currently favour. Thinking they do is like believing the queen gives a hoot about her 'subjects' (whilst doing nothing and taking millions each year of taxpayer's money to add to her existing millions). IMHO the people that work in homeless shelters would make better royalty as they would give their time to those in need. Nobody on earth would make a decent politician because you have to be a liar and a cheat to even get elected to begin with. Democracy is just a dictatorship with a chance to choose one of the currently available criminals once every few years.

    I certainly wouldn't buy a used car from him, that's definite.:p
I saw him on Newsnight last night and it made me cringe. Spin is still decidedly alive and kicking.

How did this cretin ever get back into a position of influence? He must surely be the bottle of Lambrini in any well stocked drinks cabinet.

He's one of Labour's best politicians ;) . Why else would Gordon have invited back his sworn enemy into the cabinet? Ditto the obnoxious Alan Milburn.

I suspect reason both are back is answered by US President Lyndon Johnson many years ago, "better to have them in the tent pi**ing out than outside pi**ing in"
