Hi I hope someone can help me.
For the past 2 or 3 days I have been gettin pop ups saying j'ust in time debugging' - 'please select a de!!!!!!' then a list with only one option says 'new instance of microsoft script editor' comes up.
Also a page pops up saying 'found new hardware' - but it is definitely not windows so I am reluctant to do anything with it.
I currently use Trend Micro internet & PC security but the scans aren't showing anything.
Any help is appreciated!
PS I have carried out the first 2 steps of the malware/spyware thread but still no better

I'm pretty certain it isn't spyware, but I'm assuming it to be caused by internet explorer (or rather a website) javascript error. I have the microsoft script de!!!!!! installed, but you probably don't need it.
Load up IE, click on tools, then select internet options. Click on 'advanced', then tick ' Disable Script Debugging' for both internet explorer and other. Make sure 'display a notification error about every script error' is not ticked.
Press apply /then ok.0 -
I've got nothing more to add as I believe jaydee has the answer already.
I just wanted to say I love the censoring on this site! :rotfl:The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with.

You know I was panicking incase my thread was removed for 'inappropriate language'!
Thanks for your help, I will have to print it off seeing as I can't view this site at home yet!
Here's hoping this will sort it!!!0 -
ok i will give the above a go but now 2nite when i switched on my pc & connected to the internet the following 2 messages appeared (separately)
'Runtime error has ocurred. do you wish to de-bug? Line 4 Error number '_hblink' is undefined"
Second message is:
Connect to wpad.home. The server at wpad.home at DSL router require susername & password.
The 2nd message seems to be coming from Trend Micro but I am not aware of having a username and password.
One other thing is that I keep getting a message to say I have 30days left to activate windows - I have has this PC for about 3 years and and not installed anything new to do with Windows within the past year anyway!
Sorry about the long post (and typos) but I am really desperate for help!!
***just tried what the abov posts said & it didn't make any difference - even restarted just in case it would help but unfortunatley not. Any more suggestions?0 -
In that case, not so sure what is exactly causing the error without being in front of the PC. Could be a buggy program (if you've installed something recently), or caused by some update, although the 30 days to activate message seems to suggest a problem with windows (it is a genuine version with license key?). If you have system restore running, you could try a 'roll back' to a date from before you encountered the problems. If spyware / virus checking doesn't throw anything up, and you've removed every program you've installed in the last 7 days. If you still have a problem, you can try a system repair (will talk you through it if requried). If that still doesn't resolve things then the only solution to fix it (although somewhat drastic) is to reinstall windows, but hopefully it won't get that far.0

jaydee - i am not sure if it is a genuine license key - but when i click through to activate its says that online activation is unavailable please check back soon or ask to telephone - i am not keen on ringing a premium rate number for it to be scam aswell.
I am at my wits end - it is the 'found new hardware' pop up that alarms me the most because nothing has new has been used in at least the last 9 months - might just have to take the hard drive to the PC repair shop becasue I think I am running out of MSE options!!!
I have since chaged my trend micro to maximum security level and so far so good there have been no just in time de-!!!!!! messages0
