Are all Wireless USB adapters the same?

I'm thinking of upgrading my Virgin Cable package. The new package includes a wireless network for the computers which are not WiFi enabled at present.
Virgin will include Wireless USB adapters at £20 a time but there seem to be a lot around for less than this (also a few for more). Should I let Virgin supply them or buy them for myself. Any particular makes?

Get your own. As long as it supports at least G speeds (54Mbps) there shouldn't be any problem (if you are looking at the 50meg line go for an N standard).

Stick to popular makes, Netgear, Linksys, D-Link etc.
Nothing from the pound shop, the el-cheapo's tend to drop off regularly.

but they replaced it no questions asked..... these are available from argos.
