I had a potterton for 14 years (not a combi though) never had any problems with it. Have a Worcester combi now, no problems so far!0

Try and avoid potterton if you can, best stick with the three well known German brands!!0

Swings and roundabouts really. Worth checking the price of the spares.0

I used to work as a CH engineer; Potterton's boilers are OK. The only make I would not recommend are Ravenheat boilers...steer well clear.Steve0

Hi noticed your thread. I have just had a quote for a new potterton boiler from British Gas. I got the impression that the salesman was favouring this boiler for reasons other than that they were the best. I noticed that gasbag1602 suggested giving potterton a miss and understand he is a BG engineer. Think I would prefer a worcester bosch.0

Hi there yes BG salesmen will always quote for boilers they get the most commisson from(after all they are salesmen), this is no secret amongst the BG engineers. I always make my customers aware of this an tell them to go for Worcestor or valiant boilers.0
