my original summary that 'you' copy the first CD to the HD was more a quick summary of how a CD would be copied using only a single CD-drive rather than the posters previous method with 2 seperate drives, not a technical step by step guide of the process

Obviously it goes in a temporary folder on the hard drive and then Nero (or whatever CD-copying application you're using) deletes the data automatically. If the application can do single drive copying then I think it's far easier to do it that way rather than manually copying and deleting files.Chippy - where does the data from the 'from' CD go until it can be written out on the 'to' CD?0
