I think it's not right time to invest money with any kind of banking department. Due to market crisis there are nothing chance to get recover to investment so we have to wait for suitable time for invest in bank.:: Unapproved signature removed by MSE Forum Team ::0

He wanted other measures apart from a second bail out. If there is a second bail out he will have to participate - and therefore look a right plonker for raising money from the Middle East at 14% pa, whic he did in order to save his fellow directors' bonus payments.

Oh noes.
Will he have to go tail between legs to the government after all :rotfl: I can't quite see how he will put this narrative together when he next meets his shareholders.

I have shares in Lloyds.
I cannot see the entire sector being nationalised. I'm not sure the government could put the extent of their liabilities on their balance sheet and still be able to come up with their spiel on debt as a % of GDP.
I wouldn't say none of them will be nationalised but theres a possibility that 1 might. Fingers crossed (for me at least) thats its not Lloyds.0 -
After today it is either a really really good buy for bank shares or time to wait a little longer. I think wait another 2 weeks to see what happens.0

At the current rate all the banks will be nationilised by then.0 -

I can't see all banks being nationalised. I see nationalisation of NR and the other banks to be relatively short term for the government as I think they would like the return, therefore they need an exit stategy. Having private banks already in the UK will make the exit strategy easier for them.0
