BT Call Barring

I am currently trying out using BT Call Barring to allow local calls only.
With BT Call Barring, is it possible to use the PIN to make a call to a barred number?
If so, what is the dialling sequence i need to use?
From looking at the docs, it seems that i need to
- permanantly disable the bar #34x*yyyy#
- make a call
- permanently re-enable the bar *34x#
This is pretty awkward. Is there a way to temporarily use the pin to make a single call, specifically with the BT Call Barring feature? Does anyone who uses the service have a better way? I've heard you can enter a pin before making a call. Is this correct? If so what do i dial?
