Well I saw this as a most recent post, turns out it was post no2 that was the recent one, I don't always look at dates unless it's pointed out. I just wanted to help OP so I'm sorry if that bothers you. Mistakes happen, no need to be rude about it, I'm sure I'm not the only one not to always look at the date of first posts in a thread.Mummy to beautiful 5yr old girl and a gorgeous 1yr old boy:D0

No need to apologise...I'm sure the 'one post wonder' was making a valid point and, even if she/he weren't, it will still add value for future posters doing searches on MSE.
Now wot we really want is the daleks ? Yep the doc is back this weekend. With luck, we could hire the old mutant robots to 'exterminate' posters like....DCFC79 !!
Lets just hope and dream.
Exterminate ! exterminate !! Just luv it !!:)0 -
Hi we currently have the "whatever happens" cover on a washer dryer we bought just over 3 years ago costing around £6 per month.
Since the day we bought it we have called these people out 8 times, 7 of which have been the same problem(heater box), but this latest problem has caused a flood in my kitchen which has spread in to the living room, soaking the carpet and has now damaged the skirting boards and door frame.
We have asked for a new washer dryer the last 3 or 4 occasions and have been told they won't give us one they will just keep replacing the parts.
I think the washer dryer is dangerous and even the repair guy told us not to leave it on while we are out!
Anybody have an idea where i can take this complaint, or does anyone have any similar stories with regard to "whateverhappens"
I will just add that the guy that came today also said to claim on the house insurance! Why the hell should i, and what happens if the same problem happens again, should i claim then too? Yea right mate your taking the mick.
If your equipment goes wrong the words you have to use is that the (equipment is not fit for purpose) You will ahve to fight but E.U LAW IS ON YOUR SIDE. Insurance is not needed please don't waste your money.0 -

To be honest i have a law book which was given to me by the niceic, i used the words NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE to Currys for my Computer and it was change the very same day.
E.U law is very good and i would like Mr Martin Lewis to comment on this subject.0 -
Why are threads being resurrected by one post wonders, its not that hard to see the date of the original post
People with similar problems search Google, are directed to this forum and join to post a reply.
It's not that hard to understand.:)
Surely a good thing for the site and not really worth you searching for, just so you can complain at them and put them off future posts?:D0 -

Not fit for purpose is a term which stems from the Sale of Goods Act, which is domestic legislation and came into effect long before the EU even thought about consumer rights. Of course, if you can provide any EU legislation that gives greater rights to consumers, I am sure many people would be happy to see it!Gone ... or have I?0
