Hi
I am been told about Multi Manager ISA funds - i have been looking at Abbeys and Fidelities, can anyone tell me any personal experiences / impressions of both funds?
Cheers

Personally dont use them much. Usually higher charges then picking your own mix.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Amongst FoF aficionados, both the Jupiter and Credit Suisse MM operations have very high reputations as they are run by very experienced and successful teams and each offer quite a wide range of MM funds.0

We use them for pretty much all our clients as a core holding. We like Fidelity but agree with Carnet re Jupiter and Credit Suisse.
I think you have to decide whether the additional charges are worth paying for the extra research/ due diligence/asset allocations etc being done by the fund managers.
I posted a few weeks ago to ask Edinvestor(s association) for her view still awaiting a response0 -
There is no right or wrong on this issue. Its very much like the tracker vs managed fund debate in that there are merits on both sides. If I was looking at someone investing 7k in an ISA, I may end up recommending 12 funds across the managers and sectors. Another IFA may recommend a couple of MOM/FOF/blend funds instead. The end result is very similar. Just a different way of doing it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
