Looking to put all my eggs in one basket ie talk anytime with at least 1mb broadband, Its a minefield out there so wondered if any of you knowledgeable peeps have any ideas payiny 10.50 for calls at the moment with toucan and 18.00 broadband with bt although the prices are'nt bad i know i could do better with so much competion out there just thought if i ask here it would save me trawling through all the marketing jargon out there.
Toucan can do the whole thing including now, Line Rental for £35.97 not bad but want to do better if anyone knows

Is their any particular reason why you want to put all your eggs in one basket.
Your £10.50 inclusive package would buy you 350 calls to 01/02 numbers on 1899,do you make this number of calls. Even more savings could be made by using a free E&W call supplier like primus.

In particular, PF's post thereon (partly copied below with a minor update of my own shown in red).pricefighter wrote:Keep your line rental with BT. Ensure you are on BT Together Option 1 and pay by Direct Debit. That gets BT line rental down to the minimum £11/month.
Put your peak 01/02 calls over 1899.
Sign up with Primus Saver 2 for free evening and weekend 01/02 calls. Which will reduce the cost of your 01/02 calls further!!!
Use 18185 for your Mobile and Peak 0870 calls.
Use www.dialaround.co.uk 0844 access number to make cheap peak 0845 calls.
Use your BT override service 1280 to put your calls to 0845/0870 numbers back through BT at E&W as they are cheapest.
Consider investing in an Orchid Dialler.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
