that would be pointless as the reason LOL went bust was people were'nt buying sofas as the housing market was down
I know it was a passing comment based on their previous resurections in previous times

  • Looking over the complaints about this company I can see I'm not alone with my utter disgust...

I won't bore you with the details about my numerous attempts to get what I paid for, but I will gladly post the information fellow customers can use to contact the two persons I feel are mostly responsible for the service (or lack of it) received from Land of Leather....

    Chairman
    Roger Matthews
    Ridgewood House
    Ridgemead Road
    Englefield Green
    Egham
    Surrey
    TW20 0YD
    Tel: 07788 567128

    Chief Executive Officer
    Stephen Jenkins
    Ivers
    Basted Lane
    Borough Green
    Crouch
    Sevenoaks
    Kent
    TN15 8PZ
    Tel: 07836 285295

If you are seriously thinking of buying a sofa off these guys, I would alert you to a company that operated in the same manner, namely World of Leather (Google it....)

I hope the info above prevents people being caught out and helps those who've been unfortunate enough to be caught so far.....

  • good luck getting a reply from stephen jenkins-I was just about to go to the small claims after several letters sent by recorded delivery. I wrote to Stephen twice-and never received even an acknowledgement-pretty poor customer relations from a CE. Got it sorted in the end though-they eventually came to collect the suit and exchanged it for a cheque at the same time on my insistance

LOL becomes UOL (Universe of Leather) or GOL (Galaxy of Leather)?

    Surely the latter first?

Why bother people about a defunct company?

    "Lifestyle".

How much meaningless consumption can be explained by that one simple word.

Didn't they used to be World of Leather. Feel sorry for the staff involved, but their sofas were cheap and disgusting quality.

their sofas where disgusting plastic chavvy leather looking quality and very high priced when i went past their store on the local high street

they were a complete eye sore and you need to wear sunglasses when you walk past the store as they are so ugly looking :rotfl:
