Best Way To Insure Daughters LAP TOP

My 17 year old daughter is doing a Graphics course at a local college.

My brother sent her an Apple Lap Top from abroad (far cheaper!) and she is taking the laptop to college each day. In the UK it would cost about £800 to replace.

I am getting paranoid about it getting lost stolen etc!

What is the best way to get it insured bearing in mind we don't have a receipt?

I am more than happy to present the laptop to anyone that requests its inspection to check it actually exists and supply serial numbers etc

Any recommendations on good companies that provide proper coverage without all the get out clauses that stops them paying out in the event of a claim?

Some household policies include an extension to provide contents for students at no extra cost. This is basically one of those things where you find out if yours is a cheap and cheerful policy or a comprehensive one.
