Swinton Service Charge

The Renewal for my home insurance is due, so looking round for cheaper cover, I got a quote from the swintons website which was marginally better than my current insurer..
Deciding to buy this cover, up comes a screen showing the amount that I will be charged is £10 more than the original quote.
The difference is a service charge that Swinton have added on for the service they provide in getting a competitive quote.
So thats £10 for me to interrogate there database online,so where's the service?
I think its a cynical ploy to get there uncompetitive products higher up web comparison tables.
Needless to say they missed out on a sale

The provision of their database information is their service.I think its a cynical ploy to get there uncompetitive products higher up web comparison tables.
Or its the cost of paying a broker to look at the research data rather than using a branch that would add in a higher charge.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
