is now the time to switch?
currently paying £1600 (gas) and £500 (electricity) with BG.
did a comparison and its advised saving £400 by moving to EDF. I know this could be a correct or false result depending on who has recently cut or who will cut, when and by how much.
Is it worth waiting for a month or two or should I move now?

Do you want to save 20% off next months bills or are you prepared to pay the extra?
No one has cut their bills yet (well one of the little companies has, but that only brought their prices down to be competitive with others), so any comparison is valid.
However, cuts are anticipated; they may happen soon but with issues in the Ukraine they may happen later now.
Chances are even with the best will in the world, it'll be end of March before most companies implement price changes (and it may be much longer), so with a possible 20% saving now, why not switch and review again after prices changes? You could always switch again (but make sure there's no tie-in e.g for fixed prices. Probably best to avoid any fixed price deals at present with costs expected to fall not rise.)"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100
