17" TFT PC Monitor

Hi folks i am looking to buy the above for hubbys birthday in a months time.

Can anyone give any recommendations and sources, or equally any ones to avoid? :rolleyes:

Looking to spend about £150 ish. Is this a reasonable amount, any advice gratefully received?

    150 is at the lower end of good 17" monitors, but you can certainly get a reasonable one for that money. Some I have bought recently for work are Acer 17" AL1716S 12ms LCD TFT. Price at dabs.com (as an example) is 144.99 + post. Only thing I would possibly fault it on is that it doesn't have a dvi connector, but the standard monitor connection gives a decent picture.

    Forgot - I've also recently got 7 of the AG NEOVO F417 17" TFT (similar price, couple of pounds more) also from dabs and they are also excellent. Get very good customer reviews on dabs site too. Practically identical spec to the Acer as above. Manufacturers website: http://www.neovouk.com/products/F-417.htm
