Cheap low energy bulbs
Don't know if this is available everywhere, but I've just been in our local Tesco Extra and they are selling 5 low energy bulbs for 40p. It's in conjunction with EDF energy. Was a bit concerned when I could see them going through the till at £1 each, but sure enough, £4.60 was deducted at the end.

I bought some from Tescos and they are cheap and awful colour tone. My lights in my bedroom now are a terrible colour temperature very cold looking.
Went to sainsburys who have 4 for 40p and they are the philips ones so much better!!!If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -

Personally I think I like the buy 1 get 2 free offer (£2 each) on the spiral light bulbs. More expensive, granted, but seem to give a better light output and fit more of my light fittings without an ugly bit sticking out that the stick types often do."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -

I got 4 energy saving bulbs free from my electricity supplier. They are philips ones and quite decent. Bayonet fit only though.0
