Hi. Wanting to switch my dual fuel supplier. Found the cheapest, I think, and filled in relevant online switch forms for new supplier but do I need to contact current supplier to cancel or is this automatically done by new supplier?

You should receive some information from your new chosen supplier within a few days but the transfer process will take a bit longer. Your new supplier will handle the transfer details for you but you will most probably get phone calls or letters from your present supplier, pleading with you to stay with them!
Eventually you will get a changeover date but the gas transfer seems to take longer, even if you a going for a dual fuel deal.
If you don't get any correspondence after about a week, I would chase your new supplier.
