Hi guys!
I wonder if anyone can help? We recently signed up to t-mobile mobile broadband. However the dongle won't work properly. The tech help at t-mobile is really good but when they got me to check my usb drivers there wasn't a 2.0 driver even though the usb ports on the base unit say 2.0 and my dongle won't work without this. How do I solve this one? Can I download a driver via freeware? Any help would be fantastic.
Thanks

Your motherboard definitely has usb 2.0 ports. The problem may lie in the usb driver, or the driver for the dongle.
What error messages are you getting? Is the Dongle being detected?0 -
You can download drivers from the HP website here however if your PC is fitted with USB 2.0 ports I'd be surprised if they didnt' have the correct drivers already.
Have a look in device manager and see what it says about them.
Got to control panel, system and then select device manager (on the left hand side I think). It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Installing a service pack or installing badly written drivers for some USB devices can corrupt the windows USB drivers, requiring the drivers to be removed and reinstalled.0

Thanks for the replies. I looked in the device drivers and it isn't mentioned (usb2.0). All the dongle software is installed correctly. When you put the dongle in it has a static red light no matter what port you put it in. Clicked on web n walk manager and the connection box comes up, it tries to search for a network 2 out of 10 times it will find the t-mobile network but even then the connection fails. We have already had a replacement dongle in case it was faulty.
I looked on the hp site but couldn't find just the 2.0 driver?0 -
Are you able to list the USB controllers in Device Manager? If you could do that, it would help us find the correct drivers for you.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0
