I'm going to Florida in august for the first time with my sister and her three teenage children.
I'm a bit confused about the park tickets.
Can anyone suggest the best place to get them at a good price, everywhere I've looked they cost different amounts.
Thanks in advance
how long you going for, if it is 14 days or more, and you want tickets that last the length of your stay, i would say buy them from over here, as over here you can buy tickets for 14 days for only a few pounds more than the 7 day tickets, which you cant do over there, as they are marketed for the uk market, 14 day ultimate pass i recall them being called, having said that, the tickets do work out cheaper over there, so may be cheaper buying a week at a time whilst out there, but like othere when we went last year we brought them through our travel company as we wanted to make sure we had everything before we we went out there, have a great time, it really is a holiday in a lifetime:j,DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -

Thanks for all the tips, we're going at the end of August for two weeks and want to do the usual Disney parks, Universal studios and wet 'n'wild one.
We're also hoping to go to the Piarate show as its next to out appartment block.
if you like animals do seaworld and busch gardens as well, busch gardens was a good 1-2 hours drive, but well worth it, we preferred it to disneys animal kingdom, got to see more animals, they was always hiding in the 2 days that we went to animal kingdoom:rolleyes:, but we got to see everything at busch gardens, and you can get a ticket that lets you visit seaworld/busch gardens and aquatica(waterpark) for as many tmes as you want in a 14 day period for a cheap price, we brought those tickets out there, DaveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
Rather than just looking at price, I'd consider a few other things first. Do you want to waste maybe half a day driving somewhere just to buy tickets?
If you're only going for 14 days, then you'll struggle to fit everything in so even just a couple of hours not in the parks or shopping seems a bit of a waste to me.
Dont underestimate the time it takes to get to places, even just 3 or 4 miles can take 30 minutes as they drive so slow over there!
Also as someone else mentioned, the british tickets are different to the american ones - I dont think you can get a 14 day ticket in america but you can get a british 14 day ticket.0 -
I find that, if you want to spend most of your holiday in the parks, the Disney tickets you can buy in the UK (which are not available in the US and are called "ultimate") are the best value; you can get 5 day, 7 day or 14 day and these also include entry to the Disney water parks, which are also a great day out with kids.
If you only intend to visit Disney parks on a few days, then buying the US tickets may be better value, but most first time visitors need plenty of Disney time!
There's a really good website here about travel to Florida, will help you plan but be warned it is very addictive! There are forums and links to places to buy your tickets.0 -

Are you staying at Visa Cay perhaps? If so it is fantastic. Definitely get your tickets over there. There are lots of deals! There is an orlando flexi-ticket which get which gets you into Universal, Islands of Adventre, WetnWild, Aquatica, Seaworld (5 day ticket) or 6 day ticket which includes Bush Gardens. TBH though if you want to do Disney also i would not do the Busch Gardens one. It is a bit further away in Tampa. We did the pirate show last year and our little boy loved it. Try the officialticketcenter.com also when you go in and see these guys if there are any updated offers they will let you know. They are so helpful. They also let you know if you can get a deal cheaper elsewhere!0 -
try posting some questions on trip advisorwebsite or looking thro forums for similar questions - I'm sure someone will have asked very recently.
Also worth digging around on all ears website - lots of useful info there (inclusing menus for the disney restaurants and the park eating places)NO FARMS = NO FOOD0
