My DFW Motivation Diary.....................

Have decided to start a diary to keep me motivated on our DFW Journey...........

Well today I have applied for the Virgin 0% BT 16months card to transfer debt we are paying interest onto, just got to wait and see now, wonder how long you wait before you hear anything.... does anyone know? am feeling really motivated today, perhaps to motivated, frustrated that it cant all be solved with the click of my fingers, but then I've always been impatient lol........ thats something else to work on!
Hmmm, what else have I done, posted some ebay items off, and sorted some more items to list tomorrow. Decided to build up our 'Ebay Pot' to pay off Argos card because you cant BT that one, they dont tell you that when you take it out do they eh?
Ive done they free game on a bingo site, entered all my comps and completed 2 surveys. I signed upto a new cashback site and got £2.50 just for signing up. ooo and I sorted out a metal cannister tin with a lid that even Geoff Capes couldn't pull off, that's for my 50p per day that I'm going to be putting in!

Want to try and have a no spend day tomorrow so Im going to:
Tidy out kids bedrooms
Ironing
Going to go through the freezers and make a meal plan up, only want to buy the essentials this week, bread, cheese, eggs etc......
Check On line banking
Do free games on bingo site
Enter Comps and surveys etc......

Spent Today: (quite alot actually)

£10.32 posting ebay items
£10.00 gas
£2.48 2 loaves
£4.99 on 20 ciggies:mad::eek: Total: £27.79:eek::eek::eek:

Omg it all adds up doesn't it, defo no spend day tomorrow!!!!!!!:A

    Well done :T

just been looking back at the thread you started ages ago
must be nearly 2 days ago;)
I am very impressed and amazed at how much you have changed things

On yourother thread you mentioned only having one bank account
most people here have at least 2, they use 1 for the bills and things, and 1 for savings and or weekly spends
and spreadsheets, lots and lots of them:rotfl:

As you are aware of quidco if you're going to get another account have a look on there
but always remeber to read all the T&C's

Have a read of this thread from EagerLearner about daily clicks and survey sites and stuff
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=609037
PM her and she'll send you a guide

    keep up the good work:A

Hi all, Just thought I'd take time out to update my diary whilst having a brew.....
Well ive been a busy little bee today, Ive given the house a damn good clean, so its all sparkly and clean and everythings in it's place...... well will be for the next hour n half until the kids come home.
I decided to tip a few drawers out and guess what....... I found 2 cheques totalling £16.30 only problem is that one is dated Dec '07 and other Dec '06 lol,:rotfl: wonder if they are still cashable? Does anyone know? Will pop to the bank later and see!!! I got one from writing a letter to a Newspaper (that's the '06 one) and other from complaing to Royal Mail, can't even remember what I complained about now!! Im terrible for sticking things in drawers and forgetting about them!
Ive done all my comps and freebie stuff and sorted tea out for tonight, was hoping for a NSD but have got to get some bread for packed lunches tomorrow oh and have added my 50p to my tin......... think thats it for now! BBL xxx

I think there is only a 6 month window after the date of the cheque to bank them. You could ask the issuer to send another! ?
    start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!

Yes Nat you were right, went to try and depo cheques and they laughed at how old they were, Ive got to send em back and ask for re issue:rolleyes:......
Have contacted energy supplier to ask about having pre-pay meters out and 'normal' ones in and asked if they had a special deal they could offer us, they're getting back to us, also asked if we can have balances on gas & elec accounts as last statement we had we were massively in credit, so will request that back.
Also decided to open new bank account for TC and CB to go into, to seperate them from main acc with wages bills going in etc. Applied for Alliance & Leicester Account on line, through Quidco of course;), and got an instant decision of 'Yes', everything should come through in a few days.
This 'Debtbusting' and 'Living Frugally' is quite liberating actually, wish we'd done it years ago!!!!:D:D

    Tommorrow I will:

    Check on-line banking
    Enter all comps
    Do free cannonball
Collate all money off vouchers/coupons Ive manged to get hold of and put them in my purse
    Chase up NS appt
Write letters out for returning the cheques and post them off!!

    Spent Today:

    £2.48 on 2 loaves
    30p on newspaper Total £2.78:T:T

    Bring on Tommorrow!!!!!!:j
