Free ATM cash withdrawals in Europe?

I'm posting this here as there doesn't seem to be a general banks forum.
I would like a bank account in euros that allows free ATM withdrawals throughout the euro zone. It could be with a bank in any one of the sixteen euro zone countries, but Ireland would be preferable given that it is English speaking and just a short distance away.
I think I am being quite optimistic that such an account exists, but have you heard of anything?
Thanks
M

The forum is "Budgeting and current accounts" for banking stuff.
Do you get paid in Euros?

Yea - I have one of these, but I wanted a euro account. This is so I can send money there when the exchange rate is good.
Thanks for replying anyway.0 -

Nationwide accounts are good for getting euros but are actually in £sterling, which is not what MarkXy asked for.
Could still be the best solution though0 -
I think citibank do a euro account.
My ex-employer Cater Allen Private Bank do accounts held in UK, Euro and US$ if you are a high earner/net worth customer.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

Thanks Ben, the Ctibank euro account looks interesting. It has no fees at all and gives a Visa debit card. Non-citi ATMs will charge though.
Could someone move this thread to the right place please?0
