• Just try to find something cheaper nearby where you can stay, if possible.

Whatever you do, once the decision is made, NO recriminations from either of you and enjoy yourselves.

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to the Weddings board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

• when i got married in may many of our guests stayed in the hotel the night before and night after at around £300 for both nights,
the hotel was about 1 hour away from where we lived.

I knew my maid of honor could not afford to pay for the 2 nights so i asked her to arrive the morning of the wedding, she was there at 8am. i had alot of other family members around to help me the night before.

i think you should mention that you cannot afford to pay for the hotel but you will be there early on the day to help out with anything she needs
