Anyone been on the Dubai Cruise

Hi, I am off to Dubai in a weeks time on a cruise doing Bahrain, , Muscat, Fujayra and Abu Dhabi. Any advice would be appreciated in how tomake the most of it in each port. I was thinking of doing the bus tour in Dubai has anyone done it and is it the best way of seeing everything or is there a better way?

Thanks in advance!

The bus tour in Dubai is OK as long as you plan it before hand. There are 2 red & blue. One does the city and the other out along Jumeirah beach etc.

The only hassle we had was getting a taxi back to the hotel at the end of the day. 1 hour waiting in a queue wasn't fun.

The city trip is good. Make sure you visit the museum etc. The shopping malls are fine. There are different malls for different stuff, clothes, electricals etc.

Mall of the Emirates is spectacular. The indoor ski slope is worth a visit. Likewise just looking at the buildings.

Thanks for that are you saying that I need to book the bus trip before I go?
  • Who is your cruise line? Is it Costa?

    Have you cruised before?

I would imagine that your cruise co will organise prebookable excursions and you should have been sent a list of them with prices along with your tickets, if not just before. These excursions do tend to be overpriced, but if you are a nervous traveller or want someone else doing the organising they are great. You are picked up and dropped off at the ship and will be fully escorted if you wish. Otherwise there will be plenty of excursion companies at the port touting for business. If you fancy a haggle just go for it and you could save yourself enough for a nice souvenir.
