Has anyone any experiences with this coffee machine. I fancied one for my study and had a demo of one earlier in the week. They have an RRP of over £700 but they are available for £500. BUT...are they worth it ? Any cheaper alternatives that are similar ?

Hi,
gaggia have a major problem with their bean2cup machines, the failure rate is coming in at about 1 in 4 , some kind of mainboard issue where the machine can get stuck in rinse mode.
i have a mate who has had two of these , even the temp replacement they sent him whilst his was in the factory getting fixed , went duff in less than a week.
on the plus side , gaggia own saeco but unlike gaggia parts saeco ones they cant gey hold of (so if my saeco sirius blows up) i will be waiting for months for a repair..
my advise stay clear and buy a JURA , more brass but better reliabilityDebt Free ... ish!0 -
Is there a particular JURA model you would recommend ?0

For the best coffee by a burr grinder and an HX coffee machine (that's a type not a brand). Fresh beans, ground proplerly just before you make your coffee are the key. Jura are OK for bean-to-cup, Classic is a better machine.0

Just an update. After much debating i spotted a great deal on a new machine on Ebay and bought it. All i can say is that you will never use instant coffee again after using this. Bean to cup is as good (if not better) than any high street coffee shop, including Starbucks. I'm very happy with the machine and can't rate it highly enough. :j0
