Do you have a good credit history? Have you missed any payments recently or had problems in the past? That will effect your chances of getting a another credit card.

What interest rates are you paying on those cards?
  • hi thanks for replying, no ive a good history i think!

    RBS purchases monthly intrest 1.805%
    cash monthly intrest 1.941%

    capitalone purchase intrest 14.880% annual
    withdrawal intrest 20.000%
  • Best option at the moment is a virgin 0% for 16 months for a 2.98% fee.

If you have a partner make sure you put them on as the second cardholder as this can increase your balance.

Also ask them on your application for around 2k more than your cards added together, you will get the best deal.

Remember, do NOT spend on this card.
  • thanks for that, my plan was to cut it up once transfered
  • thanks ppl ive applied for and transferd my other cards on to a virgin one :j when the card arrives it will be cut up and put straight in the bin..
next bit will be the hard bit remembering to transfer anything left on it in 16 months time to a new 0% deal
