SkyCard - Earning Skypoints

in Credit cards
First time poster (be gentle). Skycard customer services have told me that if i transfer my direct debits (mortgage, etc) to my Skycard it will all be eligible for earning Skypoints. Unfortunately the guy i was speaking to didn't sound like he knew the answer and just guessed.
Before I go to all the hassle of transfering my dd has anyone else done this? It should be worth approx £30 a month to me (making my sky bill about £10).
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, I did search but millions of posts were found.
Thanks

Direct debits are taken from a bank current account, not a credit card. A mortgage company will not accept payment by credit card!!0

You cannot have direct debits from a CC, only a Continuous Credit Card Authority. Have you asked your mortgage holder if you can pay it monthly by credit card? Sounds like the guy at SkyCard was talking out of his blow hole.0

Thanks for the quick replies. I've only made enquiries with Sky Card.
I did think it was weird that there weren't loads of forums suggesting this as a way to get free sky.0
