Cheap packaging

Hi all
I'm trying to have a big clearout and stick a load of stuff on eBay but one of the thing which puts me off is where I can get/buy boxes to put the stuff in. Plus of course the packaging etc. needed to make sure it survives the postage.
Where do people get cheap/free boxes from. What about bubble wrap?
Thanks

You can get free bubble wrap and boxes at supermarkets. You will find Bubble wrap wrapped around the bananas in Asda

I get mine from Staples, Asda, Morrisons etc for free. Just ask if they have any boxes they don't need and as long as you catch them at the right time (beofre they chuck 'em out) yuo can save yourself a fortune. Try to nab the ones that are double layer cardboard as these are stronger.:smileyhea0

oops forgot to mention, Asda also have free bubble wrap in the fruit and veg section

Also when you're next at Ikea make sure you wrap your purchases very well in lots of brown paper freely available at the packaging desk.:smileyhea0 -
for bubbel envelopes, poundland is good.

I reused anything and everything I received stuff in!!! I even use black bin liners instead of there expensive self seal bags. All jiffy bags are carefully opened and all reused. Abit of brown tape and your'll well away! Not very pro looking, but normally mention in my auction that I care for the environment and all use all recycled packaging (to prevent any random negative feedback - not that I've had any!!!) but I'm sure lessen the blow when the recieve the parcel, not that item inside is ever affected! Infact I tend to package stuff more knowing it's all recycled goods and hasn't cost me an arm and leg!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 092

Go to the post office and ask for a supply of special delivery bags, then turn them inside out, perfect!!
Another wonderful tip picked up from someone else on here!!0 -

Many years ago I was doing my stint as a postie at the sorting office for Christmas. Suddenly I heard a cry of "How tight-fisted can you get!?" I turned round to see another postie holding a corn-flake packet (supermarket brand, of course) with an address label and some stamps attached.Small change can often be found under seat cushions.

I had a real bargain the other day 5 Jiffi bags for £1, in the Everything for £1 shop, it's a no brainer. Look in places like that! and for bigger items just ask your local supermarket if they have empty boxes spare!Craig Mallaby
