i have recently purchased some items off of ebay for 67.00 but the seller kept the money closed down their account i iniated a claim through pay pal that went in my favour to receive a refund but as the seller does not have funds in their account i will not be getting any money back i thought you were fully protected through pay pal but you are only as protected as the funds in the sellers account even though pay pal got their cut what a con!!!! has anyone had any similar experiences with a more positive outcome ie their money back??? many thanks

Assuming this was recently then they have dealt with your claim incorrectly. Wait for Fay to log in as I think she has a cut and paste explanatiom as to what to say to paypal to get your refund.

  • Contact paypal and get them to review your case under their buyer protection policy.

  • Can you paste any of the info from paypal's email?
Paypal must deal with the claim under buyer protection, not buyer complaints. If they've dealt with it wrongly, get on the phone to them.
