I'm experiencing higher volumes now

I am so glad the kids are big now (for Maisie I am 45, eldest 21, youngest 14).....all that stuff I didn't do in my 20's.....bringing it on. I can't wait.
The whole shool thing.....I'm so glad it's all over, my son seems to be a reasonably, well functioning adult in society now. Going to graduate next June ...during a slump...that'll be character building for him.
My youngest moved from SE London just at the right time....went from a pretty ordinary state primary to posh school (as we couldn't get her into ANY state school in Brighton at the time we moved)...then she was offered the bottom one with a 22% pass rate (I think there are security guards too for peace of mind)
Is the quality of education better? I don't think so...it does remind me of the grammar school I went to years back (which I hated).
Is it 'worth' 1k pcm (less bursary)...probably not...but I can't compare. I can't run 2 parallel lives to test out the 2 choices.
But, she's an average kid (academically) and small classes work well (12-13) plus she no longer finishes every sentence with innit and doesn't reply to Q's with wha'ever.
Personally, if I could get that for free, then I would happily spend the school fees on beauty treatments and the pursuit of youthful skin...and shoes...and ........or pay off the mortgage (I am hanging out on MSE afterall)0 -

Thanks Chucky. How on earth does Dopester know that we didnt do anything. We did - we renovated the house and built an extension admittely for our own use and to live in a larger property - how dare we.....
hey Maisie - I was just teasing.
it's the done thing around here to blame BTLers for the housing price drops.

No, to Maisie people 'are' renters or home-owners. Renting or buying a house isn't something people do.
It defines their caste.
Something tells me she's a dyed-in-the-wool Tory who'd probably scream if she saw a nasty renter and hide in the corner in case it bit her or something.
Thank goodness for HPI - at least those nasty lower-caste people can't come and buy in my street.
And maybe if I send my children to private school, I can ensure they never, ever have to mix with any poor people either.
you're sounding like Pickled Pink here

Maisie,
I would advise you to take a note of the way that certain people act on these forums. I have personally made a list in a word document of all of the obvious bears and the less obvious bulls. There are a few subtle bulls. There are lots and lots of very ferocious bears.
You are really best of not trying to explain yourself to a ferocious bear. They have a massive agenda and tend to stick to it whether or not logic should dictate otherwise.
Even the Reverend Ian Paisley is less partisan.0 -
There are some subtle bears too......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Have i missed out on the penis size, I have read all the posts but cant see it (?? or is that the point?)0
