Balance transfer to a current account?

HI all - Wondering which credit cards allow you to transfer money into a current account? I have tried with Barclays Breathe but they refused :mad:

I know egg do it but I don't qualify for the 0% as I use to be a customer (around 2yrs back)..

Hi

MBNA / Virgin allow you to transfer into a bank account for a transfer fee, but watch out for their interest rates once the special deal finishes, they can jump to around 34%!

Many thanks for your reply - yes just confirmed on th e phone . they do it but apparently there's a clause where they wait for you to get the card first before they can start the balance transfer. I was told on the phone that you can't do it if you apply online or through phone, just have to wait. :-s

Yes as Treacle says, any MBNA issued card will allow you to withdraw cash to your bank acc (Super Balance Transfer) also any other card issuer will allow you to BT to an egg money card. (just check which one you have as there is more than 1)

Once the balance is on the Egg card, they allow you to withdraw any positive balance to your bank account.
