Comparison Site Warning

Hi,
Just a heads up for others using the comparison sites mentioned here.
I folowed the process for car insurance for myself today. As you would appreciate the best part of comparison sites is that you enter your details once.
After using the sites I have since received two calls from connected firms asking if I would like to be passed to other insurers who might give a better quote.
I did so for the first call despite having to give all my details again twice, but refused on the second call.
What is the point of the comparison site if you are going to be asked to give your details to other insurers and have to supply your details again on each application.?
This is despite ticking/unticking boxes for 'partners'.

Not sure which site I used, but their site stated that they would pass my contact details on to the top 2 best quotes, even if I ticked 'dont share my details'.Insurance Tips - Helpful ways to save money on insurance.
