£10,000 to invest

I have a spare £10,000 to invest and am willing to go for medium to high risk investments for a 5 year period. Now I appreciate nobody is going to give tips but any general advice on funds or other investments would be appreciated.

Also for this type of investment would it be advisable to find an ifa and if so the $64,000 question how do you find a good one?

Ask DunstonH, he's a financial adviser and seems to follow me around on my posts so I'll post on here and maybe he'll find you! But do try https://www.unbiased.co.uk as you can search for IFA's there but do make sure you go with an IFA not a tied or multi-tied adviser

unbiased.co.uk appear to list IFA's for any postcode dependent on what expertise we are looking for. However the question still remains how do we sort the good from the bad? They can't all be good, can they?

Indeed and that's why I think you should speak with Dunstonh as he's an adviser. You can call them and ask questions. You don't have to pay them till they give advise. Plus you can also see their names on the FSA register to if you want to research them!
