Yes B & Q are expensive for most things, we found several suppliers of Stainless steel Sockets and lightswitches when we were renovating the kitchen earlier this year.
I can't remember off hand who we used but to find them I did a google search for Stainless steel Sockets UK and picked the cheapest, don't forget to divide the postage by the number of sockets etc.
If you want a Victorian look do you prefer gold or brass?
Hope this helps.0 -
Try Screwfix Direct. They do a lot of this type of stuff and are cheaper if you buy in quantity.0

£4.75 + VAT£5.45 + VAT
Any of these the type you are looking for?
If so, you could check out "TLC-Direct"?
I can't personally recommend them, but their prices & delivery seem very good (delivery is free on orders over £150).
I'm planning on getting all the sockets, switches etc from TLC-Direct in the new year due to the fact that they have the full range of sockets/switches I need.
I too was in B&Q a couple of months ago checking the prices of the brushed/stainless sockets and switches and found them to be way more expensive than in other places.
In fact, "Wilko's" (love em' or hate em') sell some the sockets/switches that B&Q have in (Varilight, I think they were), but a bit cheaper.
Only problem with "Wilko" is that they don't have the full range (ariel socket, switched spur etc).
