Wireless Connection Issues (Tiscali)

Wonder if you guys can help as this has been driving me round the bend!
I have been running with a tiscali connection and a Phillips Wireless USB thing with no problems for the past 5 months.
In the past 3-4 days however, despite never losing the wireless connection, I have been unable to access websites with it constantly timing out and failing to find sites.
It is however very intermittant - it can work for 5 minutes with no problems then go back to its dodgy state.
I have tried both IE and Firefox with both having the same issues.
May be worth pointing out my housemates, who share the connection, are having no problems.

Have you tried changing the wireless channel to one that is as far away from any in use locally? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

How would I do that?
Is it possible it could simply be something to do with physical distance of USB from main router? - as in I could have knocked it slightly further away0 -
You need to log into the router and into the wifi settings.
It's not a bad suggestion. Many routers use the same channel as default. Once upon a time it wasn't a problem as ranges were poor and hardly anyone had wifi but now that range has improved and world+dog has wifi, it is. Channels 6, 10 and 11 seem to be congested. Channel 13 seems to be empty a lot.Conor
