:mad: Can anyone help. After waiting three years I received my Drive from wheelchair vehicle. The joy was short lived though. I actually got the car in June 08 and therefore my Dla (Motability) was taken from me. Since then I have been able to drive the car three times, as each time i wanted to go out the battery was flat. The car was just not suitable for my needs (shopping, school runs), I finally told motability to take the car back. Can I reclaim my Motability? As a single mum, wheelchair bound with MS, motability have been really unhelpful, HELP!!

sorry to hear about ur Car trouble, i dont think you can claim the money back because you did still have the car ( usually when my motability car is being fied they give you a replacment to use) you might be able to reclaim the money from the date you asked them to take it back but im not sure.
Motability have always bee really good to me, and i wouldnt have managed these last few years without the use of my car. maybe if you ring and talk to an advisor they can help u find a more suitable vehicle????

Have they taken the car back yet ?
I have always found motability really good.
the car I had first I found unsuiitable, only had it 6 months, rang them up
and was told I could change it. I lost the £250 but that was ok.
I advise you to ring and explain.
