Goldfish and Barclaycard-Have you had your statement

I may just be having a moment of paranoia but thought anybody out there who was a Goldfish cc holder might be interested in the following. I had a Goldfish card with a low rate balance transfer which was taken over by Barclaycard. I realised I hadn't received my statement at the end of December but as my payment due date always fell around the 20th I wasn't worried and made a payment on line yesterday. Decided to register online with Barclaycard and found my due date had been moved to the 15th!!Small print of Barclaycard agreement 'If payment is not made by the due date we reserve the right to withdraw promotional rates'.
If you don't receive a statement it might be worth checking online:mad:

Yes Barclaycard seem to have changed a lot of things without headlining the changes. We had a Morgan Stanley card which we used for the 1st few months of each year as it paid a double cashback rebate on the first £2000 spent each year, credited annually. MS was taken over by Goldfish, who kept the MS brand and conditions, and then Barclaycard took Goldfish. I rang someone in India last week (who kept me hanging on for 10 minutes while she tried to find the answer) to check that the same discount scheme applied now we have the new Barclaycard. She eventually told me that there is new scheme whereby the higher cashback is paid on the first £200 spent every month, and credited monthly!0

To be fair, Barclaycard wrote to everyone last September advising of the change to the cashback scheme. It was clearly laid out on the front page of the letter, not hidden away in small print.
It was the same letter which advised that Barclaycard would take over MS/Goldfish accounts on 22nd September 2008.0 -

I guess I missed that then, probably because we don't usually use the card anyway. They've also annoyed me by not having the facility to run the credit card online alongside Barclays bank account (which has meant setting up yet another online credit card account) - again it took some 6 or more phone calls to India before anyone could tell me I couldn't get it added to online bank a/c0
