Blockage in bathroom sink

There's a blockage in the bathroom sink. I've put down some sink fresh (something we've had from several years ago now) and a load of bleach - no difference.
Any recommendations from anyone?

First thing to check out, remove the trap and clean it out.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Something you could try,
fill the sink half full of water (plug out) then get a plastic bottle (pop, shampoo, etc) fill that half full with water.
put the bottle upside down into the sink, so that the top of the bottle is over the plug hole.
Then just squeeze the bottle as hard as you can, try it a few times, it works for me.
If not, you can buy a liquid unblocker, available at most diy stores.
Just pour it into the sink and leave (overnight)
good luck0 -

What on earth is the point of all of that?
The trap is connected by two hand tightened plastic nuts. Undo these, remove the trap and clean, put back on and check for leaks. Three minutes maximum, zero cost.0 -
Just remember not to empty the trap into the sink when you take it off:D.0

I had a blocked kitchen sink the other day and went to my local plumbers merchants and bought something called one stop drains ( I think) It works a treat but be very careful its 95%acid so he told me. Ask the the guy there for details of how to use it as it need to go direct down as it could stain your basin if it spills onto it. Its very good though. My block was gone in 5 mins after trying to plunge it loads0
