Halifax Card - Went Overlimit and Lost % Deal - Happy Ending

A bit of good news here, before Christmas Wife down with Flu and then I went down with Man Flu, bough lots of stuff online but used the wrong card, which resulted in a £12 charge and loss of my 0% deal.
Called then up and calmly explained the situation and they have re-instrated the deal.
OK but I got a £12 charge (that's my fault) and the minor interest on the charge but this has saved me over £115 a month for several months.
It may not work in all cases but thought I would let people know that it is worth a call if you screw up!

Good to hear. Glad they are good with some people!
Halifax failed to inform me they were raising my interest rates a few months ago which ended up with me being over my credit limit and incurring a £12 fine. My fault for being close to my limit...however I have only just managed to lower the interest rate (which is still higher than it used to be) so have had 3 months of relatively high charges.Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410

I forgot to pay the bill last month on time, remebered 2 days to late. Got hit with a £12 late fee, and 0% taken away. After a phonecall to customer services, 0% back on, Bill was too large (and I'm too skint) to hold them to ransom over £12 charge...but i have had them taken off before (Barclaycard) when i've offered to claer the card and cancel it.Projects 2020-
Joint driveway with neighbour (groundwork to be done by myself)
Reduce CC debts, overtime (new job during pandemic), moneysaving and now a 3 year old to pay for and newborn LOL0
