i tried to book 2 flights to barcelona in may (no hand luggage) and got £58 tax added on!
a return journey for 2 ended up £108!

I booked flights with Ryanair earlier in the year to Stansted from Prestwick and only cost us £40 however I took the option not to book in luggage.
But will I be allowed to take cosmetics on in my hand luggage (sorry cant go a full weekend with no make up)0 -

airport check in etc... incurs a fee also, hence the reason i have chosen online check in, also saved £10 each per flight by using my electron.
the £1 fares are the ones that say "no taxes" next to them, yes you have to have a good look for them and you have to be flexible, but there are bargains to be had.0 -

Usual rules for hand baggage apply. Containers for liquids and gels (inc lipstick) must be no bigger than 100ml and all containers must fit in a resealable clear plastic (ziplock) style bag not larger than 20 x 20 cm (8" x 8"). Must be put through security scanner separately to rest of hand baggage, but otherwise carried in the hand baggage. This link info on BAA site may assist as it applies to all UK originating flights regardless of airport or carrier.0
