Any disc would do. A cd if you have a cd writer would hold approx 700 photos copied (burnt) just use a branded disc costing about 20-40p each, (not unmarked cheapies) or a DVD writer to burn a DVD of course, holding many, many photos.0

Hmmm, I must be using a cheapy (700 mb CD-R80) disc, it will not copy all the photo's and I have nowhere near 700! Are there bigger space one's on sale?

^ that's nothing to dp with the disk being cheap...just the size of CDs (~700mb)
copy them to several CDs, or DVDsUtinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -
Its all about the file sizes the a CDr will store 700mb which translates to about 680MB in file size terms. the average 4mega pixle camera will produce images between 1.2MB and 2.5MB so you cant say a CD will store 700 photos.
You need to select the photos to get the best out of a CD's capacity don't just try dragging your my pictures folder to a CD it will not work if you have more than itss capacity in there.
You are better to use some software like nero that will give you a guage telling you how full the cd being created is. If you can write to DVD's then use a DVD they hold a lot more data.
As for which disk's to use I personally use Verbatim they have always been god for me. If I don't use them I will use a disk that uses the Ritek dye. Burning the CD/DVD slower also produces a better quality burn to the disk which makes reading them easier in different players.0
