Is this p.c. ok

I bought a p.c today ( after suffering with my ancient old computer for years)

I saw it in Tesco with some money knocked off due to being a display model

It cost me £250 and the spec is

Acer Aspire M3201
2GB Ram
640 GB Hard Drive
AMD Phenom X3 8450 triple core processor

They also gave me 3 years warentee..I think this p.c has now been discontinued and so I bought it there and then and didn't really look into all the options

Can anyone advise if I have done ok in buying this or could I have got better elsewhere.

Looks ok, i take it it didn't come with a keyboard, mouse and monitor

Huge Hard drive, plenty of RAM for surfing etc, AMD triple core processor should be good too. I think you have got a good deal.

And yes, surely that is just for the base unit. What are you using it for? Work and surfing?

Thanks for getting back to me, feeling ok now .. Bought it on a whim which I do not normally do. It is only for surfing, kids to do their homework and the odd download etc

No monitor but I have a one anyway ( last years christmas prezzie from my ever so romantic other half :rolleyes: )

Ha, good old fashioned romance!

I have an Acer desktop dual core, which is 2-3 years old and has been superb, never had a problem. Just get an Antivirus to make sure it doesn't fall over and no doubt it will serve you well!

well you've done well, just get anti virus, and a firewall and you'll be fine

I have a trial of MCafee then I will probably add AVG again..
