in Credit cards
Hi all
Have posted on DFW thread after having LB moment and just thought would we pop here for some advice on CCs.
We have been looking at the Virgin BT 0% 16 months card. We have £450 on a Barclaycard 15.9%, £930 on M&S card 0% until July and a Barclay Loan £908 17.4%. Total £2288:eek:. We were looking to BT all 3 debts onto the virgin card and pay £143 per month to clear it. Can this be done? Is it a good idea?

I notice from one of your other posts that your partner isnt working. I was turned down for the Virgin Card and as our credit rating is good can only think that it was due to my lack of income (JSA £60.50). I was told on the phone that they took joint income into consideration and it wouldnt matter if the card was in my name alone. So I would recommend that you apply in your name or maybe jointly.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

Yes, and yes.

Either make 2 BT's (for the cards) and 1 SBT* (for the loan), or just make one SBT and settle all the debts from your current account (probably easier because you're in charge?).
Won't make sense to repay M&S yet though. If you're disciplined, keep this cash in a savings account until July. How's your willpower?
Just out of interest, are these your only debts?
* SBT = Super Balance Transfer. Are you familiar with the term and it's use?0 -
Hi Yorkshireboy, We have posted a SOA on the DFW board if you could pop over and have a look, our willpower is at a low at the moment, no they arent our only debts and SBT???? Please help!!!! If we did a super balance Transfer, it would get eaten up by the overdraft (£350) over drawn?????? or do we add that onto the amount???Quit Day - 8th July 2009.0
