New printer - how to power up automatically?

I've replaced my old Lexmark X1160 with a new printer - Epson Stylus DX7450. I connected it using the same power cable and same USB cable (to the same USB port) as the old printer.

Everything works fine, except I can only get the new printer to power on and off by manually pressing the 'On' button, whereas my old printer started automatically from 'Off' when 'Print' was activated, and powered off when my computer shut down.

How can I get my new computer to power on/off automatically? I can't find any setting for this and I wonder if it's something to do with the 'old' cables I reused.

Grateful any advice.

Thanks.

Thanks for your help. I've been all through the settings, including 'Maintenance', but I can find nothing relating to powering up/down.

Powering on when you send to "Print" uses the "Sleep" mode (I think this model has "Sleep mode), so it should do this automatically. I don´t believe you need to make any adjustments in Device manager, but you could check there, otherwise it doesn´t seem to be working properly. Assume you´ve just powered on and left it on, and then it´s gone into sleep mode, but not waking up. Suggest you reinstall the drivers first, and check they´ve not been updated as sometimes changes in Windows can affect drivers. Check the Epson website for "Sleep" problems.
