Amex/Egg balance transfer - anyone else had problems?

I signed up for Amex Brit. Airways card last December because wanted to transfer money off my egg card onto it. Got a statement from AMEX saying that had been done on 8 Dec but when i checked with Egg they knew nothing about it.

I phoned Amex last week about it and they said they'd look into it but i've heard nothing back so i sent a snotty letter yesterday telling them to sort it or i'd take my business elsewher, it's not on, i'm having to pay them plus interest on a balance transfer that hasn't even happened plus still having to pay Egg. :mad:

Just wondered if anyone else had trouble transferring an Egg balance to Amex as they seemed to think the card number i gave them was from MBNA (yes we did double check the card/account numbers and it was correct) but i noticed on their web balance transfer bit that Egg wasn't on the drop-down menu....
