x box 360 wireless bridge

hello does anyone know of a good trusted site to get a wireless adapter for x box 360. uk based site if possible, cheapest i found is £48.55 is this good price. thank you

If you're talking about the official Microsoft wireless network adapter, then £48.55 is a pretty good price. Amazon are doing it for £52.45.

Looking for a secondhand one on eBay is also worth considering.

I bought one just last week from Additions Direct who're offering £30 off an order over £60 (not inc p+p) for new customers.

The wireless adapter is £59.99, so I added some socks to take the order over £60. The discount code ZG430 is applied at the checkout and the £30 reduction appears immediately. Delivery was £3.95.

The VAT reduction is also applied at the checkout so you get a couple of quid of the £59.99.

Total for the wireless adapter, including some socks and delivery was £37.56.

I placed the order on the 7th, so I can't be 100% sure that the code still works, but it costs nothing to try.

If it does work for you and you order it, don't worry if you see the full charge on your statement for the adapter. Everything you order gets billed individually. In my case I have 4 items on my statement; the XBOX adapter, the socks, the delivery charge and a £30 refund.

http://www.shopto.net has them for under 45 delivered (were under 40 last week). I've used them before with good results (shopto that is, not the adapter).
Thought about alternatives to the official adapter, e.g. homeplugs?

I just bought a wireless bridge, it converts wireless into 4 ethernet ports, was £40 delivered and will work a whole lot better than the MS wireless adapter. I bought the Buffalo Wireless Converter I think it was called. Works like a dream. Just have to plug an ethernet cable from xbox into it once it is set up.

Also gives you the option to add 3 other things onto your network should you require it.

Why will it work a whole lot better than the Microsoft adapter?

With recent experience of the adapter, it doesn't have the best connectivity/range, plus the bridge can be put wherever there is the best reception in the room.
