Only MBNA run cards offer the low Minimum Payment of £25 per month.

I would apply for another MBNA card if I were you. Good Luck.

...closely followed by Halifax at 1% (but you already have one of those).

I think they'll need it, bearing in mind they're unemployed Nick.

I agree with jamal, snap Barclays' hand off!

Well yes, but 2.25% Minimum Payments on Barclaycard which is what I suspect is putting the OP off.

Point taken. :) So take an SBT on the Virgin card (to cover some of the increase) before moving the debt to Barclays.

    Where there's a will there's a way. ;)

Thats exactly right. SBT = Super Balance Transfer which is a transfer of funds straight to your Bank Account rather than paying off another card.

You will have to pay some interest on the extra amount transferred so do your calculations and get enough to cover the extra cost of the Barclaycard Minimum Payments.

You'll be incurring a few fees, and (possibly on Virgin) interest, and increasing your overall debt (to the value of 6-8 x 2.25% of your current Virgin debt), so good luck with the job search and I hope you get fixed up quickly.
